Notice To Mesmerotic Members

January 11th, 2008

Notice to Mesmerotic Members:

You spoke, and we listened!

Many of our affiliates have asked us why we were offering three different versions of the same site (MaleMovieClub, JustUsBoysClub, and AdamsGuys). To cut back on the confusion and make promoting with Mesmerotic easier, we’ve listened to your suggestions and are combining all of our content sites into one: AdamsGuys.com

On Friday (April 18th, 2008), we will begin redirecting all surfer traffic from JUBClub and MMC to AdamsGuys.com.

What do I need to do?
Although your NATS codes will still work through the redirect (and you will still receive credit for your referrals), we recommend that you update your old MMC and JUBClub links if you haven’t already done so. This will minimize any confusion on the part of your surfers.

Exciting upgrades in the works…
We’ve got some exciting changes in store for the member’s area at AdamsGuys. Over the coming weeks and months we’ll be making improvements, adding new and exclusive content, and giving our members even more reasons to keep coming back month after month. These additions will ensure:

• Even better conversion
• Increased member retention
• More rebills for you!

Tell us what you need!
By streamlining our content sites, we will be able to focus more of our time on making sure that you get what you need. We want to help you in any way we can, and we’re listening: let us know what you’d like to see at Mesmerotic! We’ll design additional gallery templates, add content sets to the Gallery Builder module, create new banners and ads… just let us know what you’d like and we’ll make it happen. Send us an email or give us a call- we are standing by to put your ideas to work!

So be sure to update your old JUBClub and MMC links to AdamsGuys, and stay tuned for some exciting, and profitable, developments here at Mesmerotic!

Help Submitting Galleries

August 24th, 2006

I recently found a little program that will help you guys with submitting galleries. I’ve been testing it out for about the last 2 months. I have to say that I’m in love. The program is called TypeItIn. It is a free program. I have to say that it has REALLY helped me with making free galleries and getting them submitted!

About TypeItIn
TypeItIn lets you define buttons that will type in any information you want into any application. You can use TypeItIn to fill out forms on the web, or process forms at work. It’s a great tool for applications where you frequently type the same thing like creating HTML code or writing standard letters or emails.

Another great use is for entering user names and passwords. You can also launch applications or web sites with the click of a button. You can create up to 200 password protected groups, each with up to 200 buttons. TypeItIn can automatically type in the time, date, month, or day of the week too. In addition, you can also Record your own typing to automatically create buttons.

So far it really seems to be a lot less messy then using the normal auto-submission programs that we’ve all seen floating around. I’m sure they are great programs, but normally they have few, if any, gay sites, or they mess up the submission all together.

To download your copy, please visit their site: http://www.wavget.com/typeitin.html

Link Popularity

August 24th, 2006

Webmasters commonly trade links with their friends and fellow Webmasters, it’s a practice as old as the web itself. However this practice appears to have a greater significance than some of us were aware of. In trading links, we are not just sharing small amounts of traffic, we are actually increasing the perceived value of our sites. This is a result of the concept of link popularity.

Link Popularity is the idea that the more sites that have links to you, the more valuable your site must be, because of the number of sites that feel you are link worthy. Thus the higher number of sites that have links to yours, the greater your site’s link popularity.

Error Redirection For Profit

August 24th, 2006

In a business created by computer and regulated by customer satisfaction, one would think it unlikely for an error to be profitable. In its most primal form, an error is something to be avoided with diligence. Even more, in the field of web site design, an error should be avoided at all cost for fear that such an error could crash a browser and thus eliminate a sale. However, with a little luck and a dash of .htaccess, one can turn some of the most cumbersome www errors into a paycheck at the end of the month.

The process by which you can earn money from errors is the redirection of your site’s errors. To redirect an error simply means to send the surfer to a URL other than the standard error page.

Easy Ad Rotation With PHP

August 24th, 2006

I have been asked recently by a few webmasters about an easy way to add or change ads on their sites, and make it a little easier to do then having to hand edit 1-500 pages. So I thought that I would share a little PHP script that I use on my free galleries. It is really easy to set up and adding new ads isn’t hard either. Make sure that your server allows you to run PHP scripts. Most any paid hosting do allow you to run PHP. (I do not know if it will work on Windows based servers.)

First thing you should do is gather all the ads (you can use text based ads or banner ads) you would like to use and save them into one folder. Now open your preferred HTML editor, and create a new page for each ad you would like to use. In each page, place your ad and linking codes that you would like to use. If you use image ads, you will want to use the http link to the desired image. Doing this will easily allow you to use the ad rotation on any page.

Traffic Analysis

August 24th, 2006

Gathering data from the users that pay a visit to your site is invaluable and interesting to almost anyone with a website. Early on, the most commonly used statistical barometers were counters. These only gave a rudimentary idea of the traffic that was passing through a site. As the Web became more sophisticated, increasingly crowded, and competitive, it became important to know more than just the number of times pages were loaded.

The data and the analysis are growing as more and more people get on the net. While traffic will always be significant, the quality of this traffic is beginning to be taken more seriously. Counters can tell you how many people have seen your site, but ultimately, only traffic analysis can tell you what users are doing on your sites.

Here is a very basic example of traffic analysis. Certain terms used here are explained in the important terms area below. We’ll try to determine an average number of page views per user session. This is done by dividing the total number of page-views by the number of sessions in a specific interval of time. The resulting number can give you a quick sense of how deep your visitors go into your site. If the number approaches one, then this means that the visitor is leaving your site after initially entering. Conversely, a larger number would suggest that most of your visitors are viewing multiple pages and spending some time with your site.

Search Engine Strategy: Organization

August 24th, 2006

As many people have so eloquently said before, the Search Engine game does not take genius and hundreds of dollars in special software. Search Engines can bring your sites volumes of traffic, which directly correlates to cash in your pocket. In my opinion, two things separate the strong from the weak in the world of search engine success: organization and luck. Since I’ve yet to find a way to control luck, let’s focus on the organization side of things.

To become listed in the Search Engines, you generally have to go through a three-step process: submitting, checking, and resubmitting (Before each of the steps relating to submitting comes a design/development step but that’s not the focus of this tutorial). Each of these steps is crucial and because the steps often come weeks or months apart, it is important to be organized.

First, when you submit a site to the Search Engines, (talking about the big non-adult ones) you need to make a record. You want to record two things: the date you submitted the site and the future date on which you will check the site to see if it was listed.

Links List Techniques

August 24th, 2006

I classify links lists as sites that contain a list or directory hierarchy of other sites. For our purposes we’re mainly concerned with those ones adult in nature. Most adult links lists require a "recip" which is a button or text link which ‘links back’ to the links list site. This relationship creates an in & out flow of traffic for the links list operator. In general no adult links list is going to provide you with an onslaught of traffic, this is more of a ‘trickle’ kind of traffic generation.

Now because the traffic from adult links lists isn’t in large quantities you must evaluate for your own situation how much time to spend on your links list campaign. For people with a smaller number of sites it pays to take the time to play the links list game on your sites. On the contrary for those of you with massive numbers of sites you may not want to submit everything you have to links lists; or you may want to develop a long term strategy to get them all submitted over the course of several months.

The first thing to consider when preparing to start submitting your sites to links list is ‘which links lists to submit to’. This question can really only be answered by you because the types of links lists you submit to entirely depends upon the genre of site that you are submitting. Basic common sense comes into play here: test the links lists out, see which ones you have success with and stick with those.
